Heather and Todd

After a good nights sleep Tatiana and I met the amazing Ryan Jenson at The Thayer Hotel on Sunday morning where Heather and Todd were getting ready. I was so grateful to have such a wonderful team with me.

Heather and Todd were married in the gardens of The Meadowbrook in New Windsor. We couldn't have asked for better weather. The sun was starting to go down as we took shots of the newlyweds which made for some gorgeous back lighting! We then headed inside for a fantastic party. Check out some more shots on the slideshow!

Carmella and Carlo

Saturday morning I headed from Rockland (where I was crashing at my Aunt Carol's after Jen & Matt's wedding) over to Westchester to shoot Carmella getting ready at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. We then headed over to the beautiful Glen Island Harbor Club where she and Carlo tied the knot. Carmella had spent a lot of time at Glen Island Park when she was growing up so it was a natural choice for when it was time to look for a location.

The reception was fantastic.. Gabriela Girondo of A Starry Night mixed in some Ska music (Carmella and Carlo's favorite) with the wedding staples. Gabriela is a great choice if you really want to personalise your music. I first met her at Sachie and Manu's wedding and she was fabulous then too!

Thanks again to Tatiana (she survived the whole weekend with me) and Andrea Reising for all of their help!

Check out Carmella and Carlo's Slideshow!

Jennifer and Matt

Fall is my favorite time of year so I so excited to spend this past weekend shooting fall weddings in the Hudson Valley. Jen & Matt were married on Friday Evening outside under the fall leaves at Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point, NY. The reception was a blast.. check out the slideshow to check out some more of those shots.

I was so lucky to have Punam Bean help me out. Thanks so much for your help ladies!!

Dorothy & Chris

Lindsay and I headed up to Connecticut for the first wedding in our double header weekend. Dorothy and Chris met as camp counselors a few years ago. My roommate Jen was a counselor with them, so when they got engaged she sent them my way! It was no surprise that Dort and Chris were such fun people! The happy couple were wed at Avon Congregational Church in Dorothy's hometown. They partied with friends and family at Avon Old Farms Inn.

Check out the slideshow!

Thanks to Lindsay and her Mom for their help this weekend! Lindsay was my rockstar second shooter and her Mom opened her home for us to spend the night between weddings.

Dorothy and her Dad started out with a very sweet traditional Father-Daughter dance.. about halfway through the music changed to The Sugar Hill Gang's "Apache" and they broke out into the funniest choreographed dance I have seen in a while!

Jessica Howard Ceramics is blowing up!

One of my very first blog posts was about my friend Jessica Howard, an amazing ceramic artist. We did a shoot of her new designs. Since then Jessica's business has blown up! I couldn't be more proud of her. Since her new website was launched Jess has been featured in:

and I'm sure I'm missing many more! I am the proud owner of a green grass pitcher.. love it!

Broken Zippers and Great Friends

Junko and Jason's Wedding ended at 5:00 (see below) so I hopped in the car and drove up to Bear Mountain to attend our friends Maureen and Steve's wedding. I thought I was so slick .. getting there just on time to see the end of the ceremony. I pulled my hair out of the pony tail and quickly tried to change into my little black dress to transform out of wedding photographer Jen into wedding guest Jen. This quick change resulted in me breaking the zipper to my dress in such a way that I couldn't fully put it on and couldn't get out of it! I was stuck. After 15 minuets of this I text messaged Brian for help.. he found me and saved the day.. somehow fixing my zipper! We had such a great time at the wedding. Maureen and Steve are so lucky to have eachother and such a wonderful family.
